Coming to England in August

It's a sudden decision - my other son is going on a football trip with his club, and with my husband. It's kind of a "British football dream tour", where they will play friendlies with youth academies of Fulham, Manchester City and QPR I think, and will visit some games (SuperCup in Wembley among them, too bad the match-up sucks this year :)). Plus a lot of sightseeing in London and Chester/Manchester area.
Fantastic tour, really, but very expensive, so we decided that only two of us will go.
But relatively cheap tickets to London came up for about 6-13 of August, and I felt bad for my other son missing out, so we would probably go. I just want to show him England, the places I've had time to appreciate myself - London and Oxford, and maybe more. We'll hang out with husband/other son in London in Aug 10-11 when they'll be doing their sightseeing, August 12th is free and we'll probably spend it in London.
Aug 6-10 (or about that) we'll be in Oxford, but it's tentative, as we are free to go anywhere. It's just Oxford is the most inviting place for me. :)
If someone wants to meet up in England, I'll be happy!
