An awesome fan video on... LotR!
Feb. 2nd, 2008 12:41 pmI'd been on a LotR interest revival spree for some time, and so this was inevitable. :)
When I'm crazy about something, I look for fanvids on the subject: I just love this genre. And this fanvid is all shades of awesome. It's epic, and tragic, and beautifully done. The last section, Red Book pages coming alive, and the end, is amazing.
AJ's Lord of the Rings "Ascencion", to "Burn" by Sevendust.
Here's YouTube link, and here's high res download. It's whopping 141MB and 8 min long, but it's worth it.
Made me think of something. Yeah, LotR movie had incredible visuals and great cast, but some of the dialogues were inane, and some scenario decisions were less than stellar. So some book fans were dissapointed with the movie (I made peace with it, but some folks didn't). And some even tried "purist edits", hee. Well, good fanvids can serve this craving just as well. Because, again, this movie's visuals are so beautiful, and true to the spirit of LotR. Just begging to be used for vids. So I'll be on a lookout now, for the best of them. :)
